27 Place de l'Eglise overlooks the church square to the front, and the view from the terrace at the back stretches across the hills of Les Alpilles.

The front door leads directly in to a large sitting room/reception area, with a large cloakroom off to one side. It has a large stone fireplace - which guarantees year round warmth.

At the front of the house is the large master bedroom, which also has an ensuite shower and toilet. The roof-ceiling is white and open-beamed, and the room overlooks the church square.

The terracotta-tiled staircase returns you to the lounge below.

The staircase leads up to the first floor terrace pictured at the top of this page. The house has two bedrooms and will easily sleep four. (Our children even used to sleep under the stars on the terrace during the summer.)

The second bedroom at the back of the house opens on to the terrace and the view of the hills. It has air conditioning and an ensuite shower room.

From the front room you walk straight through in to the open-plan kitchen (right) and large dining area (below).

All the main windows have outer shutters, in keeping with its local feel.

The dining area seats six at the table inside the room, and through the sliding doors is a shaded al fresco stone table eating and barbecue area, with a spiral staircase leading up to the 1st floor terrace (photo in the 'further information' section).
